We decided to make the drive back up to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with the grandparents. We did it 3 years ago, but Claire remembered nothing as she was only 2 and Carly only remembered bits and pieces. So off we went again for the 3 day drive. Of course, we didn't just "drive". We drove but made the drive it's own mini-vacation. As you can see from our photos, we stopped and made lots of memories along the way. What a way to end the summer.

Spring Break 2008 part 2
This is our adventure to the beach. We decided around midnight one Tuesday night to go to the beach the next day (Wed.). So we woke up at 4am. Started getting ready. Began to scurry around and pack for a family of 4. Now, for anyone that knows me, knows that that is WAY out of my comfort zone as I plan packing the week ahead. Everyone got packed. Really, what more do you need than a few outfits and your swimsuit. 6am. We walked the kids to the car. PJ's and all. Them not even knowing where we are going. And then we began to drive. Luckily the kids slept a bit that morning. I had a daily mission. To find a place to stay. What good is going to the beach if you are sleeping in your car. By that afternoon we had a condo rented, and Carly figured out where we were going, 4 states later. Needless to say they were excited and loved every minute of our "trip on a whim". Isn't that what spring break is all about. Here are pictures from our trip. As you can see, it all worked out, even without a plan.

Spring Break 2008 part 1
These are pictures from part of our spring break 2008. We seemed to be on the road a lot. But loved every minute of it. These are pictures from Branson, MO, Crator of Diamonds State Park (where we attempted to find a diamond), and Easter.
